the 1850 Allamakee Co, IA, census as follows:
Kellenda, William D, 39, M Farmer, b VA; Abigail 38, F, b PA; Susannah
14, F, b O; Sara A 13, f, b O; Eliza 11, F, b O; William 7, M b O.
I also have the following information on William Callender, who may or
may not be the same man:
15 Aug 1837: William D Callender received a land patent, document
#7528, for 40 acres in NESW, Sec 27, Twp 6-N, Rg 20-W, Pike Co, Ohio.
Pike County, Ohio "Will Book #1": Thomas Huff (dated Oct 20, 1841);
mentions sons Richard, Thomas, Jesse, Benjamin, Caleb, & Joseph;
daughters Luann Kincaid & Abigail Callender. Appoints William Slaughter
& William D Callender - Ex.
1840 census: William Callender, Pike Co, OH, #014, 1840, Beaver Twp.
The Gospel Messenger 1894, pg 15:
"Callender - In Greene (Butler Co), Iowa, Dec. 9, 1893, William
Callender, aged 82 years, 3 months and 8 days." Survived by a wife and
3 children.
