Hello all,
I have RUTTERs in my family tree who were friends with a John CALLENDER
from Philadelphia. My direct line of RUTTERs goes back past my great great
grandfather George W. RUTTER who was married to an Emma both born circa 1830.
The 1860 and 1870 census has a John RUTTER living with them born circa 1790.
I'm assuming that this was his father.
I am getting to the CALLENDERs now...
These are other RUTTERs that are connected to my George but I haven't been
able to make an exact connection yet.
I have a John RUTTER who was married to a Margaret GOUGH. They had a child
named Callender who was named after John's good friend John CALLENDER.
These RUTTERs are connected to my line because Callender's son George
Washington RUTTER married a Francis Elizabeth SINK and his cousin William RUTTER
married Francis' sister Georgeanna SINK. William RUTTER was living with my
George and Emma RUTTER when they applied for a marriage certificate so I know
they are related but I'm not exactly sure how since he was never listed in any
census with my family.
If anyone knows anything about the friendship and anything else about and
between the CALLENDERs and the RUTTERs I would love to hear from you!
Good luck in your own research,
Ella
