Dear Callender researchers,
I have recently come across a piece of paper in Samuel Callender's military files
which states that Samuel Callender's certificate for the balance of his full pay for
service in the 9th Va reg. during the American Revolution was received by Eppa Hubbard on
July 26, 1784.
I think this may provide a clue to the parentage of Samuel Callender as there must have
been some basis for their giving the certificate to Eppa Hubbard.
What I have found out about Eppa Hubbard so far is:
Apparently his name is Epphroditis Hubbard, but seems to have gone primarily by Eppa
He served in 8th Va regt during the American Revolution, later the light dragoons
