Patricia,
Your first paragraph comes from "Tennessee Cousins," by Worth Ray.
Throw it in the trash - and leave it there. He really mixed up the
Callaways!
You need to visit this web site: <
www.callawayfamily.org>
and check out the charts listed under Peter Callaway. You will find 5 or 6
generations there, including all the ones you are looking for. These charts
have been documented. There are many persons named Isaac, Job, etc. You
can get lost in a maze. We have already been there, done that, and finally
(with documentation) straightened them out.

Subject: Mixup on Job Callaway's
Hi,
Can anyone help me clear this up?
Page 398 "Job Calloway of North Carolina shows up on the Georgia Records
Job
Calloway, of the Chowan Co., N.C. family, a plain descendant of
Joshua
Calloway, the son of Caleb, next shows up on the records of Wilkes County,
Georgia.
The will of Job Callaway Jr. was proved onMarch 5, 1804. Names children:
Jacob Caloway 558 acres
Joseph Callaway 440 acres
Jobe Callaway 614 acres
Joshua Callaway 666 acres
Isaac Callaway
Eunice Callaway m Griffin
Mary Callaway m Parks
wife Mary
sons Joseph and Job Callaway Executors. Witnesses: Thomas McLaughlin,
Johnson Wellborn, Adam Lovin
(This will shows the same family as I have in my records, but I show
desendency Job Callaway Jr.and Mary(4);Edward Callaway and Elizabeth;(3)
John Sr. Callaway and Mary Gould(2);Peter Callaway and Elizabeth
(Johnson).(l)
Mrs. Davidson's Wilkes Co. Records
Job Calloway, Revolutionary soldier and some Georgia Descendnts:
Job Calloway's will in Wilkes Co., Georgis was probated in 1804, but he was
"signed up" and had two draws (married man with family) in the land
lottery of Feb 3, 1804 which was for Revolutionary soldies, and was
registered as of Oglethorpe Co., adjoining to Wilkes Co.
Incidentally, three Howards were also on this list, and they were William,
Thomas and Abel Howard"
(There seems to be a problem with the will being probated 1804 and the
draws
in the 1804....is this a different Job)???
