Hi list,
I sent out a query the other day regarding the following:
<< Is anyone doing research on Chas. E. SEYMOUR of Talbot Co., MD?
I'm very interested in how he is related to my Elizabeth DRAPER of Caroline
Co., MD.
Denton Journal: Saturday, 13 May 1916
Mrs. Elizabeth DRAPER, of Goldsboro is visiting her nephew, Mr. Chas.
E. SEYMOUR, in Easton. >>
I have since found info posted -- Charles E. SEYMOUR, was b. 1869,
in MD & his parents were George H. SEYMOUR, b. Nov 1827 in Talbot Co., &
Irene (Arena) CALLAWAY, b. Jan 1832-44 (Sussex Co.?), DE. They m.
in 1859 but I don't know where! Could anyone do a lookup for their
marriage for me please? I have searched Talbot Co. marriage records
but found nothing.
The info posted, went on to mentioned Irene (Callaway) SEYMOUR,
d. 13 Aug 1913 & was buried in 15 Aug 1913 in Easton Cemetery.
When someone refers to Easton Cemetery do they mean Springhill
Cemetery?
Irene's parent's were Samuel CALLAWAY & Elizabeth THOMPSON. Irene
maybe my Elizabeth (Callaway) HITCH DRAPER's sister, b. 7 Aug 1832-35.
I did find a Samuel CALLOWAY, living in (Laural?), Sussex Co., DE in the
1840 Census:
Samuel CALLOWAY 3 males 15-20
1 male 50-60
1 female under 5
1 female 5 to 10
2 females 10-15 (Irene & Elizabeth?)
1 female 40-50
1 female 80-90
Can anyone help me, by verifying any of the above info?
My main interest is in the CALLA(O)WAY - THOMPSON Lines!!!
Thank you for any help or info! :)
Happy hunting, Helen (DCGS)
