Esther A. Lecuyer
Plattsburgh - Mrs. Esther A. Lecuyer, 90, of Rugar Street, Plattsburgh,died Saturday, Feb.
12, 2000, at the CVPH Medical Center.
She was born in Plattsburgh on Feb. 11, 1910, the daughter of the late John and Mary
(Lashua) Callaway.
Esther was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 309, Peru Ladies Auxillary;
a life member of the Champlain Valley Ham Radio Club; a member of St. Joseph's Church,
Treadwells Mills; the Ladies of St. Joseph's;and the Senior Citizens Club.
Esther is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Loyal and Florence Lecuyer of
Plattsburgh; Francis Lecuyer of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; a daughter and
son-in-law, Gabrielle and Jefferson Dukette of Plattsburgh; a sister, Edna McCafferty of
Philadelphia, Pa.; 12 grandchildren;
18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Loyal Lecuyer; a son, Lawrence Lecuyer; a grandson,
Louis Lecuyer; a granddaughter, Colleen Bonnier; a great-grandson, Maurice Bonnier;
brothers John, Charles and Edwin Callaway; and a sister, Ethel.
Calling hours will be Sunday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in
Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 11 a.m. at St.
Joseph's Church, Treadwells Mills. Interment will be at a later date in the family
plot at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
