I hope this information is what you need. I just found it a few days ago.
I feel my John J. Calaway in the 1910 census of Spalding County, Union District is the
same John Calloway in the Spalding County Africa District of 1880. I have no proof of this
but all my data is leaning toward this.
The 1880 census appears to state the following:
Calloway M.A. w/f/22 ? domestis servent
Calloway John w/m/24 ? farm labor
-------- Ira w/m/13 ? farm labor
-------- Athey w/f/45 step mother "cook in family" or "took in
family". I can not make it out completely.
Jasper w/m/3 ? child.
I have seen the name "Athey" somewhere else but ????. I may find it again
later.
Hope this helps.
