Hello, Does anyone know who the Joseph CALLAWAY [etc spellings] mentioned in
these two deeds below of 1712 and 1715 might have been? Was his CALLOWAY
family originally from New Jersey? The Enoch DOUGHTY named here was a son of
[that well-recorded] Reverend Francis DOUGHTY, JR and Bridget STONE.
Most of these DOUGHTYs were on Long Island in this time period of the deeds,
with some on to New Jersey [my line], but seems Enoch did a bit of moving
around. The William BERRY mentioned, bc: MAY 1650, had married Enoch DOUGHTY's
daughter Margaret DOUGHTY, bc: 1667. Any ideas appreciated. Thanks, Annie
