Albany (Dougherty County) and Wilkes County CALLAWAYS. Looking for info
on Henry Irvin Callaway. Burial place uncertain. Can you help?
He lived all of life in Albany. Don't know where he died but supposedly
Albany; date ~1930. Married to Louise Malone somewhere around 1870; had
2 children (Charles Malone and Merrel Malone). Louise died around 1875
after giving birth to second child (Mary Merrel Callaway) in Albany.
He remarried a second wife (name unknown) and had several children by her
while living in Albany:
Carrie Louise; DOB 1879
Irwin Barret DOB 9/8/1881
George Jordan DOB 8/6/1883
Henry Tucker DOB 1885. Died 1931
Thomas James DOB 1888. Died 1952
Henry Irvin Callaway's father was a Merrel Price Callaway who died in Wilkes
County in 1897; DOB 1814. He married Mary Ann (Irvin) Walton in 1843; DOB
1816. She died ~1897 in Wilkes County. Their children included:
Merrel Price Callaway, DOB 1843, died 1890
Henry Irvin Callaway, DOB 1844, died 1930. Married Louise (Lutie Malone).
Lived in Albany
James Callaway, DOB 1847, died 1920
Ella Shrivner Callaway, DOB 1848, died 1849. Am told she is buried at Irwin
Family Cemetery on Cason Cason Homeplace. Have you ever hear of IRVIN FAMILY
CEMETERY Cemetery? I cannot find in on GenWeb. I was told it is mentionned
in Newsome's book (F. M. and Nell H. Newsome)about 1960.
