Arthur,
Thanks for including me on your email. However, it leads me to more
confusion to some extent.
I still am trying to figure out the relationship between Patrick b. 1828 (m.
Ann Silliery prior to 1848) and Hugh (m. Susan) Callan (children Michael
1868, Thomas 1870, Mary A. 1872, John 1874). Then there is James (m.
Catherine) Callan. Were these guys all brothers? Cousins?
Reportedly Patrick's parents were Patrick/Alice according the death
certificate (so says my cousin who has looked at records in Lambertville).
Your list below has a lot of information but I can not tell who goes with
whom.
James Callan b. 1814 m. Catherine b. 1832 (much younger!)

Francis P. b. 1852 Railroad Foreman in 1880
James H. b. 1857 RR Clerk in 1880

Mary Ellen b. 1863 at home in 1880
Thomas S. b. 1866 works in quarry in 1880
Charles b. 1870 at home in 1880

Mary 1861
Catharine 1865
Charles (Augustus) 1869 father of Charles William Callan, my grandfather

Can the chart (handwritten by a surviving descendant) by copied (scanned
into a .tif file) and emailed or mailed?

Hi Margaret,
Sorry. I don't know what part James Callan and Catherine Reynolds were
from in Ireland, but, among the 4 or 5 main Callan family heads in the
little town of Lambertville, NJ, at least two were from County Louth,
which had a large Callan concentration. They were probably born in the
early 1800s, so I don't he wouldn't have been your son.
Below are my notes about them and one of their descendant lines:
