Surrounded by pink and white chrysanthemums, smilax, and autumn folliage in the home of
her parents, Miss Catherine R. Callan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward F. Callan, of No.
119 West 120th Street was married to Mr. William P. O'Connor on Tuesday. The ceremony
was performed before a temporary alter by the Rev. Michael Walsh, of St. Raymond's
Church, West Chester, NY, a cousin of the bride, assisted by the Revs. John McGrath and J.
Scanlon, of the Church of St. Thomas the Apostle.
The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of white satin, trimmed with
duchess and rose point lace. Her veil of the same materials was caught up with a coronet
of orange blossoms, and she carried a shower bouquet of orchids and lillies of the valley.
She was attended by Miss Sarah Cassidy, who wore violet chiffon over pink satin and
carried violet orchids; Mrs. Victor Monahan and Mrs. Edward F. Callan, Jr., who wore gowns
of pink satin veiled in white chiffon and carried pink chiffon muffs with garlands aof
pink chrysanthemums.
Mr. Joseph O'Connor, a brother of the bridegroom, was best man, and the ushers were
Messrs. James O'Connor, James McDonald, Warner Cosgrove, Victor Monahan, Clarence
McGuire and Edward F. Callan, Jr.
A reception and a seated breakfast followed the ceremony, after which Mr. O'Connor and
his bride started on a honeymoon trip to the Pacific Coast.
