Dear Karen,
I'd like to offer a few suggestions to all my Callan brothers and
sisters about changing e-mail addresses and notifying our CALLAN List.
In my "folders" list with my e-mail, you know, IN BOX and all that. I
have created a "sub-folder" for every mail group I subscribe to. I keep
important stuff about my families, and I also keep the e-mail that is sent
to us when we subscribe to a mail list. It's always the top, (first) e-mail
for the list. I also make a physical file for each list with a print-out of
directions.
So, ... the information about all the lists I belong to are kept in my
mailbox and a printed copy in a file folder.
I'm a bit crazed and my Irish family information is in green folders and
my Polish family in red folders.
Aloha,
Donna

Subject: [CALLAN] List business--Please Read
Several people who have been subscribed to the list have apparently
changed
email addresses lately...before you change your email address, please
respond
to an email and type "unsubscribe" in both the body and
subject line of
the
email so that I don't have to go in as list administrator and
unsubscribe
you. I get several "MailerDaemon" emails a week, and would hate to
accidently unsubscribe someone. When you change your email address, you
can
subscribe your new one by sending an email to the
CALLAN-L(a)rootsweb.com
and
typing "subscribe" in the subject line and body of the
email.
It's not that I have to do it all the time, but just a courtesy, and that
way
I have more online time to do GENEALOGY!!!
Take care!
