Glad to know someone else with Lambertville CALLAN relatives. We found two Charles
CALLANs both living on So. Main Street in the old town directories at the Library.
The records we saw say Charles A. CALLAN in two generations, but that wouldn't be
the only mistake we saw in the records.St. John's used to have a Father Gigo who
couldn't spell Irish names. Because of that, the Church replaced him with a Father
CALLAN.

Arthur,
You have everything correct except for one name.
My Grandfather, Charles William Callan, was born 11/11/1899 and IS the Callan
who was baptized 11/16/1899. You describe his father, mother and grandfather
exactly. I knew Mary (Mamie) Xavier McAuliffe Callan very well when I was a
child. My Cousin Sharon Hoffman has been to St. John's as well (see her
note to me below).
Thank you for the information.
I can give you the line after Charles William if you would like.
There is a Charles Callan in Morrisville who we figure must be related but I
am not sure how yet. He, like my Grandfather worked for the Pennsylvania
Railroad.
My cousins notes:
Patrick was born somewhere around 1829 in Ireland, married around May of 1849
in County Meath Ireland. He married Ann Marie Sillery. He died In 1901,
9-2-1901 and is buried in St' John's in Lambertville, NJ. Ted and I have
been there. We have to go to the rectory to see if there are any further
records. Grandpop still has living relatives in Lambertville , second third
and fourth cousins.
