I have nothing on the older Callan except he married a lady born 1878 in Ballynagarrick,
Co Down, Ireland. She may have gone initially to Toronto to cousin Robert, but that is a
wild guess. William Edmund Callan was born 1914 and a tree reported there were other
children, James, Edmund, and Agnes who might perhaps be called Nancy. Her brother Samuel
Edmund visited her in Winnipeg 1827 before he died and brother James Alex said she was in
Winnipeg in 1918.
If a lake is named after his family, then Callans would be pioneers or else a war
casualty, I assume.
