Chris,
A thousand thanks for the information you sent on Christopher Callan and his family.
Before your post the only info I had to go on was anectdotal from a journal that my mother
wrote about her memoirs. It reads like a chapter from a Frank McCourt tale-filled with
colorful characters and events some facts and some liberties.
I can't seem to locate any record of Christopher after the '81 UK census. Do you
know if and where obituaries might have been published Lancashire?? also, Patrick
disappears until 1881-at least I think it is him "Patk" married to Margaret nee.
Campbell, living in Ardwick district along with several non relatives. Since you mentioned
that Joseph and Mary Jane were married in Ardwick it appears likely that they are
brothers.
You also mention a Mary Agnes as one of Christopher's children. I can't find her.
I did find a record of a Mary Agnes born in '35 to Henry and Theresa Callan -Patrick
and Joseph's brother. They also had a son, Christopher- a popular name among the
Callan Clan. Whereas, I seem to be the only Donal on the whole tree!
Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Slan agus beannacht,
a Cara
Donal
