Dear Madam or Sir:
I am the co-owner of a web site that I believe might be of interest to
patrons of your the Clan Callahan website.
As you may know, really good genealogical information for emigrants to
Canada in the 18th and 19th centuries can be hard to find, particularly
for
those who do not live in a major Canadian city. inGeneas has dedicated
itself to discovering the best documents available and putting them on
the
inGeneas website in searchable format. To date, there are almost 40,000
records available on this site for genealogists and family historians
seeking
their Canadian roots. Furthermore, the inGeneas website is the only
place on which an electronic version of the National Archives of Canada
Miscellaneous Immigration List can be found and searched.
To the best of our knowledge, there is no other site on the internet
that provides searchable access to such a wide array of Canadian
passenger and
immigration records.
All records from the National Archives of Canada Miscellaneous
Immigration Index are available for search and retrieval completely free
of charge.
There is a small fee for transcriptions from the inGeneas databases.
I hope that you will have the opportunity to have a look at our site at
http://www.ingeneas.com. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you
have any
questions or require additional information. Thank you for your time and
consideration.
With best regards,
Lori Fox
