My ggreatgrandfather owned a bussiness listed in 1862 directory as Navy
corner Prospect then in 1874 listed as Prospect c. Navy, I found a paper
in his bible that said he purchased Fire Insurance for 114 Hudson Ave
formerly Jackson Ave. NW c Navy and Prospect. My husband and I took a
ride there and were unable to locate any of the addresses or find
Prospect and Navy. the last address I found on Hudson Ave was in the
60's then it appears to be the BQE ramp. I tried looking on Street Plus
and mapquest they both give different info and I cannot locate where
Prospect and Navy meet. Does anyone know that area from years ago or
know where I could find good maps of the area or reference material
discribing that section in the 1880's. I know my family lived in
1900- 277 Prospect and in 1880- 14 Navy. in 1899 144 Gold ST. later
213 sand St. My goal is to determine if any of these structures still
stand and to get a feel for the area as my one branch of the family
(Callahan and Sullivan) appeared to have lived and died there from at
least 1850 t0 1923. Thank you for any possible clues. Maureen
