I am the fellow who is interested in any information on Charles D. Callahan, who died in
Pittsburgh, PA, and was a sergeant in the military (possibly the Air Force), and also an
info on Charles' ancestors. When I mentioned that Charles had an illegitimate child
by Azalea Woodyard in West Virginia in 1932, I forgot to give enough particulars so that
other descendants of Charles could recognize their Charles Callahan. Charles and Azalea
had their male child in Glenville, Gilmer County, West Virginia. I have a wonderful
picture of Charles and Azalea. As I mentioned, my child is the great-grandchild of this
Charles D. Callahan and Azalea Woodyard. I am interested in information on Charles and
his ancesteors in any of his ancestral lines because I am the family genealogist/historian
and simply want my child to have as much information as possible about all of her various
family lines when and if she should ever become interested in same. I am particularly
interested in photos!
of Charles and, in turn, his ancestors, because I already have an incredible collection
of photos of some sixty of my child's direct ancestors and am sure that someone in the
Callahan and allied lines can give me leads on other photos, as well as additional family
information. I am only too happy to share my limited data on Charles (as well as the
photo I have) with other of his descendants. I have no wish whatsoever to intrude on the
lives of Charles' other descendants, but only seek information and photos over the
Internet or via the mail. I live far away from Pittsburgh and have no intention of
interrupting the family routines and patterns of other of Charles' descendants. Many
thanks for any kind replies! Until I hear from other descendants or other Callahans with
info or photos, please accept warmest, best wishes to you and yours from me and mine! --
