These files are presented in the way that I walked the individual
cemeteries with a line skipped between each entry except the ones that
are
all listed on the same marker. This way if anyone needs to find
particular
graves in the cemetery he/she can take a copy of the audit and very
quickly
find what is needed. Any person that has ancestors in any of these
cemeteries needs to make a trip to the cemetery because there is a
wealth
of information there such as who is next to someone else, children,
family
groups, etc. The lines are formatted thusly, Name, Date of Birth if
there
is one and if not either blank or a dashed line, Date of Death or
blank/dashed line, and at the end either nothing, the war that the
person
was in (WW II, CSA, etc) or s/o JJH (Son of John J. High, etc), Temp.
(Temporary Marker), or other notes. In places that I was not sure of
something I have inserted question marks, ( January 1?, 18?2, etc.).
I would like to express many thanks to Brenda Cameron for letting me use
her rendition of Concord Baptist Cemetery and Salem United Methodist
Cemetery. Also, I would like to thank Brenda and all the other folks at
the
Genealogical Society of Old Tryon County for letting me use all the
readings of all the small cemeteries in A Collection Of Small Cemeteries
and Some More Small Cemeteries. Many, Many Thanks!
