Don't be too locked in on the spelling of any name, especially as taken from
censuses. The spelling often reflected the way the enumerator thought it
should be spelled rather than the customary way it had been spelled by the
individual. Also, my Great grandfather spelled his name of Callahan three
different ways during his lifetime and possibly four if family legend is to be
believed - Calaghan, Callaghan and Callahan and possibly O'Callaghan.
