Loretto,
Where are your Callahan's from? Mine are from Philadelphia, Pa. and we
have
a Loretto Callahan in the line somewhere. Just wondering.

My line is strictly New York City, and before that England, although I
have
only two names from England as yet.
I used to be in contact with some Callahans from Philadelphia. I grew up
in
Fresh Meadows (Flushing), Queens, Long Island, New York, between
1940-1955.
Some friends of my teens were James and Patrick Callahan, whose
father was
a
partner in the Callahan Trucking Company that did local Philadelphia
and
Philly-New York City trucking. I hear that the company is out of
business.
Ring any bells with you?
Aloha,
Pat and Nancy

Pat,
Have we compared notes before? I have O'Callaghans from Phila.
Arriving about late 1860's.

Pat and Nancy,
Did you ever know whereabouts in Phila your Callahan friends lived. If
their Daddy was born in 1920 or so, he could be a grandson of the only
ones I know in Phila.
Jim Tobin at new e-mail than above.

Not likely. James and Patrick Callahan, heirs (?) of the Callahan
Trucking
Co., were born around the early 1930's, their father was
probably born
around 1907-1910.
