I'm doing a 3D computer reconstruction/fly-over for the web of one of the
Callahan castles, i.e. the castle at Clonmeen that was burned by William of
Orange. The reconstruction is based on the measurements given in the
footnote of an article kindly sent to me by Bob Callahan of Tiffin, Ohio
(from this list) about the Chieftains of Pobul-I-Callaghan, (p.202). I was
wondering if anyone on the list might be able to either scan and put up on
the web somewhere a photograph of the still existing curtain-wall, perhaps
taken during a trip to that area, or directly scan the photographs that
appear on p. 203 and 220 from an original of the June 1897 Journal of the
Cork Historical and Archaeological Society. A photograph of the stonework
would allow accurate texture mapping of the appearance of the reconstructed
walls.
