Hi Steve,
I think we have corresponded before regarding our O'Callaghan's. Mine are
from Kilmichael - at least the one that I can trace - my grandfather, Denis,
born in 1862 in Cusduve to Cornelius and Kate Leary. I think there may have
been a John and a Mary also, but no proof yet. The O'Callaghan clan all
seem to use Cornelius, Denis, John in every family in every generation. It
would take a genius to get them all settled into the right family. I have
found death certs for a Cornelius in Coolaclevane and Kate Callaghan in
Johnstown in 1903 that I believe may be my ggrandparents. Present at both
deaths was Bridget Murphy of Johnstown - daughter????? well, the search
contiues - maybe next year I will be lucky enough to go to Kilmichael and
check things out for myself.

Subject: [CALLAHAN-L] (O)Callaghans of West Cork
Hi all, Im just resubmitting what I have on my (O)Calla(g)hans in
hopes
someone may have links to this family.
My GGrandfather John Callaghan immigrated from West Cork to Boston and
settled in Cambridge, MA in May of 1888, leaving behind 3 brothers and 2
sisters that have been proven so far.
In order of birth:
Cornelius "Curley" O'Callaghan, b. Nov. 8, 1866
John O'Callaghan, b. June 13, 1868
Hanora O'Callaghan, b. May 8, 1870
Jeremiah O'Callaghan, b. 29, 1872
Denis O'Callaghan, b. April 4, 1874
Ellen O'Callaghan, b. Nov. 28, 1876
So far we have the families of John, Denis and Ellen, but have yet to trace
down the descendants of Cornelius, Hanora, and Jeremiah. If you have
grandparents with these names, born about this time, lets trade information
to see where it takes us. Note the naming pattern if you have all these
names
in your families as well.
Regards,
Steve
