Thanks Steve. I hope you can post some of your photos of what the
cemetaries look like. Someday I'd like to visit the ruins of the Callahan
Castle at Clonmeen and the fortified house at Dromaneen. I guess they've
found cannon balls and the legend is that the Callahan gold is in the caves
underneath the fortified house! :-)

Callaghan castle near Mallow. During our visit to Ireland in early 2015, I
got reasonably close to the castle but with the many trees in the way my
pictures do not show much. I do have some photos of a few nearby cemeteries
in the area.
My most recent descendants are from Killarney, having departed for New
York in 1887 with most of them relocating to the Chicago area.
At the invitation of the McCarthy Surname Group (Nigel McCarthy) I did the
Big Y test and indeed it appears my line of Callaghan's are from this area
and linked to the McCarthy clan.
