Hi Colleen,
I am Mary Palmer nee Callahan
. I do know that the Callahan/Callaghan clan did originally come from the
Cork. My great Grandfather, John O' Callaghan, was baptised in 1825 at
St.Coleman´s on the island of Cobh (Cove), Queenstown at one time) in Cork
harbour and was married in Aghada, on the borders of the harbour. Our name
was anglizised to Callahan when he joined the Royal Navy in Plymouth,
England in 1848.
Just thought I would give you some places to think about, to try and help.
Mary
.

I am researching the family of Jefferson Callahan born April 13, 1884

Ireland and died July 1930 in Trenton, NJ; married to a Anna McGuire (born

Any and all information is appreciated - especially any insight into the
roots in Ireland as I am at a dead end.
Thanks so much.
Colleen
