Hi Jackie and all,
MY Owen Callahan is listed in the 1850 Leicester, Mass census with his wife
Honora (Nora) with their 7 children. One of the children was my
gg grandfather Michael. In the 1850 census the name is spelled Callaghan
but later census dropped the "g". Love to know if there is a connection.

I have "Owen" Callaghan(s) around the time period you mentioned. Honora
and Michael are common family names as well. However, they came out of
Roscommon County--Lisdrumneil townland (not very big and don't know that it
exists any longer). Happy to e-mail further if any possible link.
