My Callaghans came from Armagh, Ireland. Mary J. Ward amrried Christopher
Callaghan in Ireland, moved to Consett, England where all the children were
born.
the children are Thomas b/ 1856, Christy (male) b. 1859, Mary b.
1855.William b. 1863, Daniel b. 1865, Henry b. 1868. All dates are from a
census.
Thomas was my grandfather. He married Elizabeth Ann Turner and they had the
following children: Alice b. 26 Dec. 1885 Consett, Mary Jane b. 18 Feb 1888
Consett, William b. 1890 & died 14 Dec. 1894 In Stockton-On-Tees County
Durham. folowing children ll born Stockton-On-Tees. Jonathon b. 14 July
1891, isabella b. 14 Sept 1894 died 21 Sept. 1895, Henry b. 31 March . 1897.
Francis (my dad) 26 July 1898, died Kirkland LakeOntario, Canada 22 Sept.
1987.
Dad was a "Home Child" and corresponded with his mother.He did not know
about most of his siblings as he was sent to an orphanage when he was 4
years old and to Canada at 13.
Hope all these names are in someone's tree.

I am researching my dads mothers side of the family 'Callaghans'. A lot of
them seem to originate from Ireland and came to England.
So you could possibly be right but I have no idea. If you have any
information on callaghans like names or dates please do email me, so I can
see if they match mine and vice versa.
