My Callaghans are from the townland of Mullagroe near Gurteen, just north of
Ballaghadereen.
What was your paternal grandfather's name? Do you have any more info. on
the Callaghans from Ballaghadereen?

My paternal Grandfather came from Ballaghadereen to St Helens , Lancashire,
he was married to an Elizabeth O`Brien, I think he was born in 1893 or there
abouts.His son (my father) was Michael Callaghan.
