I wanted to take the opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Tracy and
I'm the new list admin for the CALLAGHAN list. I've been researching for 11
years, and my CALLAGHANS have been one of my most problematic lines!
I've been a subscriber to this list for a few months and have found it to be
one of the quieter lists. I hope we can change that. I encourage discussion
and sharing information, questions and answers. On some lists, you can only
post strict genealogical info - no variations. All replies must be sent to
the poster and not the list. Well, I'm not as strict. Please feel free to
discuss any aspect of your research - even if it is not on the surname
CALLAGHAN. History, emmigration, culture, etc. They all have a place here
as they paint a vivid picture of the times in which our ancestors lived.
I will be creating a CALLAGHAN website in the near future. I would like to
include a researcher database and upload some info - such as vital records
indexes, etc. This will take some time of course.
I would like to initiate a ROLL CALL to meet everyone and see what areas and
time periods are being researched. Please be sure to include your brickwalls!
Take care and I look forward to meeting all of you,
Tracy
