I am researching Callaghans from St Helens, England.
Is anyone else on this list researching Callaghans from St Helens?
Tim
We are Callaghan from Ince inbetween Wigan and St Helens in England.
The family moved there from Killaney, around the turn of the century.
They stayed until the Coal fields shut, then most of them moved to
Irlam, near Warrington. That is where my dad was born, there are still
a large amount of Callaghans in Irlam and Cadishead.
You can contact my dad, Ian Callaghan, at Coritec Limited, Unit 7
Cavendish Place, Cavendish Street. Ashton-Under-Lyne, Lancs OL6 7QZ
England.
His dad was called James Oswald Callaghan. We do not know a lot, but
some family moved over to America, Salt Lake City and Atlanta at the
turn of the century.
Regards
Keren Callaghan.
