Hi Tim,
Not sure when I was last in contact with you , but here is the update on my
Callaghans..........sadly not got very far after 10 years!
John Callaghan Bookkeeper, Birth C 1820, unknown
John Patrick Callaghan, B 1844/45 to above, place unknown (shown as Ireland
and wales depending on the census) John P married Phoebe Scotland in
Liverpool in 1865, they had their first son Thomas in 1867 in Flint,
daughter Margaret Cecelia in Liverpool in 1868, John Patrick in Liverpool in
1872, Phoebe in Widnes in 1874, Margaret and Celilia and Henry in Farnworth
bolton in 1876 to 1880, in 1881 they were back in the Windle area, where
they seemed to have settled, they went on to have sons William, James and
Harry. They are shown as still living in Windle in the 1901. John Patrick
(younger) moved to Ince in makerfield and had my grandad and his siblings, I
dont know where the rest of the family went, as my grandad got himself
excommunicated from the catholic church in 1930, and was disowned by the
whole family!
I am currently searching for JP B 1844/45 death certificate, hoping that it
may tell me where he was born.

I'd be interested to hear about any CALLAGHANs (or similar) who moved to
England at any point or who are still living in Ireland.
Regards
Tim
