Message Board Post:
My gggandfather Patrick Callaghan married to Mary McGuiness his brothers
Thomas,
Owen and Anthony went to Britain around that time then to US,
Patrick, Thoams and Owen returned to Britain and Anthony remained in US, my
mother thinks that they were running from something but we thought it was to
do with the McGuiness side but it could be Callaghan side. Mary's family
had something to do with the black and tan's in Ireland so Callghan family
may have as well. Hope this helps.
