Esther, Thanks for the reply. My great-grandfather was born in Cork. His
name was
Edward Callaghan. His father, my gg-grandfather was reportedly a
farmer, so that might tie in with horses. Is there a Michael Callaghan in
your family with a son named Edward. Edward was born around 1835.
