CALLAGHAN TO BE BURIED HERE -------
Brother-In-Law Of Arthur Baker Dies At Maplewood -------
- Word has been received by Arthur BAKER of Mount Olivet Heights of the death in
Maplewood, Mo., Monday afternoon of his brother-in-law, J. W. CALLAGHAN, formerly of
Hannibal.
- The remains will be brought to Hannibal for interment, the funeral cortege driving here
from Maplewood Wednesday and going directly to Mount Olivet cemetery where a short service
will be held at home of Mr. BAKER at 11 o'clock. Dr. R. E. Robinson of First
Presbyterian church, will have the service.
- Mr. CALLAGHAN was 71 years old. He lived in Hannibal for years where he was custodian of
Central school and later of the Y.M.C.A. During his residence here he formed a wide
friendship, and was honored by all who knew him. The family removed about 15 years ago to
Maplewood where Mr. CALLAGHAN has since lived. His death followed an illness of a
year's duration.
- Surviving Mr. CALLAGHAN are his wife, Mrs. Ida CALLAGHAN; two daughters, Mrs. R. L.
HUFFMAN of Brookfield, and Mrs. O. B. WORKMAN of Maplewood; a sister, Miss Emma CALLAGHAN
of Hannibal.
