Charleville is in Co. Cork but is right on the border of Co. Cork and Co. Limerick. Many
emigrants from Charleville stated they were from Charleville, Co. Limerick. If you do a
google search on Charleville, Co. Limerick, you will get matches to a few phone numbers
and addresses. It is very confusing. I suspect that if emgrants were born in a village
just north of Charleville, their town or village would have been in Co. Limerick. You can
contact the "Roman Catholic parishes" by doing a google search enclosing in
inverted commas. My recommendation is that you contact the Irish Records office in Dublin
first. All counties have joined together to put BMD's onto a huge database and they
are near completion. This is a huge venture and you will get a lot of good advice from
them if you phone.
