Hi
I have Callaghans in Northwich 1846 onwards - they have John and Patrick
They came from either Roscommon or Mayo (Westport Castlebar?)
As Northwich is 16 miles south of Widnes could there be a connection
Regards
Tony Barratt
Re your second message - Do you know there is a Farnworth at the northern
end of Widnes?

Hi, sure this is a very long shot, but where was James born? I have a
James
Callaghan born in Widnes Lancs around 1886, and John Patrick was his
father born in 1844, Liverpool or Ireland. We think James married around
1904, but can find no trace of him.
Then again John Patrick and James are common names in the Callaghan clan.
Good luck in your search.
