Hi
I have Callaghan s from either Mayo or Roscommon and who moved to Cheshire
in 1846-48.
The father names were Patrick and amongst the sons was Luke and John. Both
went to the states Luke initially at least to New York, where he stayed with
an uncle? called Andrew - this would be 1860s. Family rumour is that Luke
had a son also Luke who became a lawyer. I wonder whether Luke Snr became a
policeman. His brother John emigrated to Boscobel but I understand there are
several such places
Is anything familiar?
Regards
Tony Barratt

moved to Cheshire County, England, then on to Mass.
Any relation?
