I sent you an E-mail to the address you furnished but it came back "undelivered --
wrong address".
Although others have also suggested that my JOHN CALL may have been the son of DANIEL CALL
(b 1761 - d 1822) and MARGARET JOANNA SMITH (b abt 1765), that may not be correct --
particularly if it is fairly established that their son, JOHN actually was born about
1791. I say this because I am fairly positive, based on Davie County, NC census
enumerations, that my JOHN CALL was born circa 1800.
Nevertheless since I have no positive information concerning who were the parents of my
JOHN CALL, I would be most appreciative to receive any positive information that you or
others may have which would indicate that DANIEL CALL and MARGARET JOANNA SMITH were in
fact his parents.
In this regard, I have documented the fact that my JOHN CALL is known to have married
MARGARET ELIZABETH (Peggy) SHEETS (b abt 1808 -d 1880), daughter of JACOB SHEETS and MARY
WOODS. They had five known children: MINERVA (b Oct. 31, 1828 - d Mar. 20, 1895);
ELIZABETH (b Mar. 24, 1835 - d May 17, 1906); NANCY (b 1837 - d 1877); HENRY G. (b 1839 -
d 1879) and NATHAN (b 1845 - d ?).
I also know for a fact that my JOHN CALL and his family lived in that portion of Rowan
County which, in 1836, became Davie County, NC. I have considerable info to share
concerning JOHN and MARGARET'S descendants. In this regard, their daughter, MINERVA (b
Oct. 31, 1828 - d Mar. 20, 1895) was my great, great grandmother.
