Kathy,
I believe I posted almost everything I have. This is what I know so far:
My mother: Mildred Isabel Williams
Her Mother: Clarissa (or Clara) Belle (or Bell) Call, who was born in 1875
in Canada, somewhere near Knowlton, married Walter George Williams, who was
born in East Bolton, Canada. They moved to the United States, and were
married at Manchester, NH in 1898. Clarissa was orphaned at age 12 by her
father's death. Her mother and twin sister died when she was an infant. A
brother died at age 19 of meningitis.
Clarissa had a sister named Effie, who married a Mitchell, and lived in
Manchester N.H.
Clarissa's uncle was Whiting Call, who was born in Magog, Canada on
September 30, 1839, married Almeda (or Almedia) Turner in Manchester, NH May
10, 1868. Whiting was a photographer in Manchester, NH.
Some other names that my mother had given me were Abijah Call (who may be my
great-grandfather or great-great grandfather and Ellen Turner, as well as
the surname Oliver.
If I find out more about Abijah or Ellen, I will let you know.
Are you aware of the Canadian Eastern Townships web site:
http://www.virtuel.qc.ca/simmons/ ? This is run by Marlene Simmons.
There is quite a bit of free Canadian information at the site, as well as
links to searches by Marlene, for which she charges $5.00 per item.
Hope some of this helps, and I would be delighted if we could make a
connection.
Thanks for contacting me.
Jackie
