COLUMBUS CITY, Iowa - Daniel D. Call, 78, Columbus City, passed away on Tuesday, September
29, 2009, at the Washington County Hospital in Washington.
Services for Daniel will be held at a later date. Burial will be at the Columbus City
Cemetery.
The Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction is caring for
his family and the arrangements.
Mr. Call was born Nov. 28, 1930, in West Liberty, the son of George Tucker and Paulina
Belle (Craigg) Call.
He served with the United States Army from 1953 -55.
On March 7, 1954, Daniel was united in marriage to Delores A. Kolosick in Columbus City.
He was a truck driver who enjoyed flying and fishing.
He will be dearly missed by his children, Janet L. Call of Columbus City, Richard D. Call
of Muscatine, Susan M. Call of Muscatine, Daniel K. Call, Sr. of Conesville and Margaret
A. Cline of Muscatine; nine grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; four brothers and
sisters, Sharon A. Allen of Columbus Junction, William R. Call of Muscatine, Laveda J.
Osborne and husband, Harry of Altoona and Leah A. DeWitt of Columbus Junction.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Delores; a son, James Call; a
granddaughter, Jamey Call; two brothers, James A. Call and Pearle L. Call and three
sisters, Roberta M. Reid, Helen A. Ford and Mary C. Honea.

MUSCATINE, Iowa - Pearle L. "Poss" Call, 75, of Muscatine, died Saturday, May
16, 2009, at Lutheran Homes.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at the Ralph J.
Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Casket bearers will be Cochise Call, Jerry Tisor,
Jeremy Tisor, Dennis Campbell, Gary Gafeller, Jericho Call, Travis Tisor, and Korie
Gafeller. Burial will be in Columbus City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association.
Pearle was born on August 8, 1933, in Nichols, the son of George Tucker and Polina
Craig Call. He married Edith Cordwell in 1952 and they later divorced.
He worked for the Rock Island Railroad for 12 years; he then drove truck for 28 years
retiring in 1994.
He enjoyed spending time with kids and his grandkids.
Survivors include three sons, William L. Call and wife, Donna, of Muscatine, Robert L.
Call and wife, Mary, of Muscatine, and Thomas L. Call of Davenport; two daughters Debra K.
Meador and fiancé, Jack Wiechert, of Letts, and Anna Marie Beason of Muscatine; eight
grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great great-grandson; two brothers, Daniel
Call of Columbus City, and William Call of Muscatine; and three sisters, Sharon Allen of
Columbus Junction, Levada Osborn of Altoona, and Leah Dewitt of Columbus Junction.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and three sisters.

IOWA CITY, Iowa - Arthur D. Call, 55, Iowa City, died Sunday, April 12, 2009, at Mercy
Hospital in Iowa City.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 16, 2009, at the Gay & Ciha
Funeral and Cremation Service, Iowa City. Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service of
Iowa City is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Call was born July 4, 1953, in Muscatine, the son of James Amos and Pearl Arthur
Call. He attended Highland High School.
Following high school he graduated from cosmetology school where he became a barber for a
short time. He later was a Cook for many area restaurants.
He deeply enjoyed spending time and talking with his loving family.
He is survived by his mother, Pearl Attig and her husband, Donald, of Lone Tree; sisters,
Gail Seydel and husband, Butch, of Iowa City, Sara Kauffman of Wapello; nieces, Tammy
Frees and Angie Seydel, both of Iowa City, Jodi Kauffman of Wapello; nephews, Chuck Seydel
of Iowa City, Trey and Jace Kauffman, both of Wapello; step-sisters, Kathy Schmutz of
Missouri, Debbie Johnson of Williamsburg, Linda Sotzen of Iowa City; a step-brother, Gary
Attig of Lone Tree; and great-nieces and nephews, Renee, Emily, Alisha, Destiny, Levi, and
Lexi.
