Wilbraham, Hampden, MA Married Hannah Leach (b.1726) on 10 DEC 1749. Two of their children
were named Elizabeth Calkins (b.1762) and Mary Calkins (b.10/21/1764).
Mary Calkins married Ebenezer Chapman (b.7/10/1764) on 7/17/1784 in Wilbraham, MA
Elizabeth CALKINS married Isaac COLTON (b: 1760) in 1783 in Wilbraham, Hampden, MA
Mary Calkins & Ebenezer Chapman had a several kids, incl. a daughter named Polly
Chapman Birth: 17 Aug 1797
Of Vernon, Tolland, CT. Elizabeth Calkins and Isaac Colton had a daughter named Betsey
Colton, Birth: 5 Apr 1799 also in Vernon, Tolland, CT.
The connection: Polly Chapman and Betsey Colton were the 1st and 3rd wives of CURTIS
WARFIELD Polly marr. him in Sept. 1814 (a source hints that she died early). Curtis
married Laura King in 1824, then married Bestey Colton on Dec. 1, 1835 (prob. in Vernon,
CT). I believe he the son of
Ephraim Warfield of the Warfields in Hampden Co., MA and brother to Ephraim Warfield, Jr.
who appears in the 1850, 60, 70 CT censuses in Stafford, Tolland Co., CT
Does anyone have info on CURTIS WARFIELD???
P.S. This family migrated (seemingly) in dribs and drabs to around Franklin, Delaware Co.,
NY in the early-mid 1800's. This is the connection I would love to make certain.
Thanks,
