I am new to this list, and I have been trying to get this Caulkins/Calkins
family straight!
Could someone tell me if the information I have listed below is correct, or
have I made some major errors?
I am especially interested in 5 - Daniel Calkins, and who Mary Chappell is.
There seems to be some wildly different infomation out there as to her
parentage.
I also have other Caulkins lines, but I'd like to see if anyone can first
help me with this one.
1 - *Hugh Caulkins* was married to Ann Eaton
2 - *David Caulkins*, born November 3, 1642 in Gloucester, Mass., was
married in 1672 in New London, Conn. to Mary Bliss, born February 7, 1649 in
Saybrook, Middlesex, Conn., daughter of Thomas Bliss and Elizabeth Birchard.
3 - *Jonathan Caulkins*, born January 9, 1678 in New London, Conn., was
married December 11, 1700 in New London to Sarah Turner, born October 28,
1683 in New London, Conn., daughter of Ezekiel Turner and Susanna Keeney.
4 - *Amos Caulkins*, born October 14, 1708, in New London, Conn., was
married October 20, 1730 in New London, Conn. to Mary Calkins, born March
26, 1712 in New London, Conn., daughter of David Calkins and Hannah Spencer.
5 - *Daniel Calkins*, born September 6, 1746 in New London, Conn. was first
married around 1770 in Lyme, Conn. to *Mary Chappell*, born around 1748 in
Lyme, Conn.; and second, on January 1, 1778 to widow Elizabeth Smith Moore.
Thank you in advance for any information, help or suggestions.
