Obit: no newspaper name, date of death 29 Jan 1959; Mrs. I. J. Calkins
AVOCA - Mrs. Isabelle Calkins died this morning at her home on Morgan St, Following a long
illness. She was 62 years old.
Survivors include her husband, I. J. Calkins; two sons, Raymond Calkins of Avoca and Tracy
Calkins of Bath; a daughter, Mrs. Trena McGlynn of Bath; a brother, Lynn Silsbee of Bath.
Funeral services will be held at the Sheppard-VanPatton Funeral Home In Avoca at 2 pm
Saturday the Rev. Edwin Macumber, pastor of the Wesleyan Methodist Church of Wallace,
officiating.
Burial will be in Highland Cemetery at Avoca.

Thus Marcus M. Timmerman (1838-1901) and Henry A. Timmerman (1823-1894). Both were born
in Herkimer County and died in Steuben County. There are, however Timmermans Steuben
County, which I have been unable to connect.
Both Marcus M. and Henry A. are buried in Steuben County. Henry A. and Marcus M.
Timmerman's parents were Abraham (or Abram) (1796-1851) and Margaret (Canute)
(1804-1880).
Henry A.'s wife was Catherine (or Catharine) Suits (1827-1907). She was born in
Montgomery, NY and died in Herkimer County, but is buried in Steuben County with her
husband.
Marcus M.'s wife was Agnes Eliza Beverly (1841-1909). Both are buried in the
Greenville Cemetery, Howard, Steuben County NY. Their children are:

He married Hanna Belle McClary (1869-1970). Their children were:

The parents of Henry A and Marcus M Timmerman are Abraham Timmerman (1796-1851) and
Margaret Canute (1804-1880). Abraham was born, died and is buried in Herkimer County, NY.
They had a total of ten children. Margaret Canute was died and buried in Herkimer County.
Her birth and parents are still a mystery.
The parents of Abraham Timmerman are Henry H Timmerman (1769-1836) and Appolonia Bellinger
(1772-1848). Both were born, died and buried in Herkimer County, NY. They had a total of
nine children.
The parents of Henry H Timmerman are Lt Henry Timmerman (abt 1737-1807) and Maria
Margaretha Bellinger (1752-1815. Henry H was one of 15 children by Maria Margaretha, Lt
Henry Timmerman's second wife. He also had five more children by his first wife,
Catherine Fox.
Lt Henry Timmerman's parents were Jacob Zimmerman (abt1690-1739) and Anna Margaretha
Jung-Schuz (abt 1667-?). Both were born in what is now Germany. They had a total of 15
children. lived in Livingston Manor, Sullivan County, NY and what is now Montgomery
County, NY.
I am very interested in hearing from anyone with information about the Steuben County
Timmermans and related. I would love to hear from anyone with knowledge of Margaret
Canute's and/or Agnes Eliza Beverly's ancestry.

Note: apparentley the sisister of Solomon Canute (1807-1878). Both were born in Herkimer
County, NY. their parents are may be Mathias & Margaret Canute. Mathias's father
was henry, loyalist, who went to live in Ontario, Canada. Mathias was born in Canada, but
returned to Herkimer County, NY. Other Canutes went to live in Michigan. Solomon and some
descendents are buried in the old Dutch Cem, Fremont, Steuben, NY
30. Armone <Armona\Armony> Beverly1 died dead. He was born about 1808 in ,
Herkiner, New York.11 He was buried in Howard_Mt_Pleasant Cem, Howard, Steuben, New
York.11 Armone <Armona\Armony> Beverly and Eva <Eve> Winne were married
before 1841.
31. Eva <Eve> Winne1 died unknown. She was born about 1808 in , Rensselaer, New
York. She was buried in Howard_Mt_Pleasant Cem, Howard, Steuben, New York.11
