I don't connect with that, but I did find something for you in my Xerox copy of the
"Nicholas Cady of Watertown" book. Whoever owned the book from which the copy
was made had put an asterisk after Abigail Cady's name and written below. As nearly as
I can decipher it says, "James Cady also had a grandson, a son of Jonathan and
Abigail Church - James Cady Church- who served in the (Poolisher?) and lived to be over 90
who has a grand niece Miss Carrie A. (Kiltcen?) who is living in Syracuse, N.Y."
This is what the book says about James Cady: Born Groton, Mass., Nov. 22, 1694; m.
Abigail _____. He d. Feb.2, 1732. Resided in Thompson Parish, Killingly, where his father
game him 50 acres of land April 1, 1720.
Children. b Killingly:
Bathsheba, bapt. Sept. 1, 1717; m. Dec. 16, 1734 to Baraciah Johnson. He d. before 1740.
Prudence, bapt. June 8, 1718.
Abigail, bapt. May 29, 1726; m. (probably) Jonathan Church, b. abt. 1725, and had Amasa,
Abigail (m. Wood), Mary, (m. Campbell, whose son, Solomon Campbell, was long a member of
Congress.*
Penuel, b. Oct. 1, 1732.
Do you have also that James Cady was the son of Capt. Joseph Cady and grandson of the
original Nicholas Cady? That is according to the book.
