Hold on, Gwendolyn. Your post is confusing. You said you
"found" your ggrandmother, Amanda Caldwell, in the 1920 Census for Obion Co.,
TN, living with her daughter, Beulah. Then you said you could "not find" Amanda
or Beulah. Could you be a little more clear?

I have a brick wall that is giving me a headache. I hope someone can help. My
ggrandmother, Amanda Caldwell, b. 13 Nov.1842 in Iowa, m. William Calhoun, b. ?. According
to the 1920 Census for Obion co., Tn. shows she's living with her daughter Beulah,
wife to Boyd Adams. Beulah was born 1881 in Mo. I can't find William, Amanda(mandy,
manda) or the kids, Beulah, Emma or Arthur. I have looked in Tn., Ky., Mo. & Iowa.
Amanda d. in 1932 (we believe).
There is a family story of Amanda raising the children alone for a time. She is said to
have cooked & washed for the men who worked the riverboats. I'm not even sure
which river.
Any help i can get would be so greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Gwendolyn
