CALHOUN, Dr. William Daniel, 70, of Huntsville died Wednesday, June 7, 2006. Dr. Calhoun
was a member of the Church of the Nativity. He had a private practice as a psychiatrist in
Huntsville for 29 years. Dan was a graduate of Vanderbilt University and the University of
Tennessee Medical School. He was a supporter of the Vanderbilt Commodores and he will be
greatly missed by family, friends and patients. He was a family practitioner in
Manchester, Tennessee for 9 years prior to opening his private practice of psychiatry in
Huntsville in 1977. He is survived by his wife, Elaine Calhoun; daughters, Elizabeth
Redman and husband, Michael, of Huntsville and Caroline Looney and husband, Ben, of
Birmingham; son, Dan Calhoun and wife, Nancy of Franklin, Tennessee; grandchildren, Will,
Ellen and Sam Looney, Daniel and Sarah Ashby Calhoun and Bruce Redman; sister, Marianne
Burrus of Tupelo, Mississippi and brother, Frank A. Calhoun, Jr. of Orlando, Florida. A
memorial service was held!
Friday, June 9, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Nativity with The Rev. Andy
