Jack, the SSDI (Social Security Death Index) doesn't have a LOT of
information about your great-grandfather, but he is there: SETH W
CALHOUN, b 21 Feb 1902, d Dec 1991, SSN 317-10-2330, issued in Indiana.
Do you know where he died, so you can get an obituary, death
certificate, and information from the cemetery and/or funeral home? Do
you know when, where and who he married, and do you have that marriage
record?
Start with the basics, and work backwards, and you'll get a long ways.
For now, you know that he will at least be found in the 1930, 1920 &
1910 censuses. And if he was born in Indiana (not guaranteed), there
might be local records such as state census, school records, etc. which
can be searched, which will help you zero onto the birth record.
Good luck!
