He was the son of Thomas Calhoun the founder of the the Cumberland
Presbyterian Church and one of my ancestors brother.

"Thomas P. Calhoun, while crossing with his wife, a bridge at St. Cloud, Minn., on
the 20th ult., was, by his horse becoming unmanageable, thrown out of his sleigh and
killed. Mrs. C. escaped with severe injuries."
