I am looking for a Sarah Calhoun who was born in 1830, lived in GA for
at
least 1850-1857 or long enough to have children with a man named Robinson.
She later remarried a Dr A. P. Morris (from NC) and went to live with
family in Louisiana where she eventually died in 1869. For a time I thought
my Sarah F Calhoun may be the daughter of James or Joseph Calhoun and
wife
Sarah, but I am unsure because I do not have marriage or further info for
that Sarah Calhoun.
I am looking for anything on ANY Sarah Calhoun born about 1830. I am
looking for marriage info, childrens names and death info for all Sarah
Calhouns born 1825-1835. Especially those born in NC, SC & GA with any
ties to LA.
I have my Sarah in family stories and oral traditions, but in proof
documentation only on the census in 1860, and her death info from 1869. I
do not have anything else on my Sarah F Calhoun Robinson Morris except the
record of her (second? third?) wedding in 1859 to Dr Morris.
My Sarah married to an unknown first name Robinson, had children in
Georgia: Mary Robinson (possibly aka Minnie?) born about 1850, Emma
Calhoun Robinson born about 1851, and Walter John Robinson born 1857. Mr
or Dr Robinson died or left between 1857-1858. In 1859 Sarah married Dr
Morris and had children Sarah F (Fannie) and James O Morris. Her
descendants to my knowledge all ended up in Texas (except Mary Robinson
who is missing after 1870-no known marriage information. Possibly husband
Burdick?)
Any help with any information on any Sarah Calhouns in this general
timeframe would be wonderful and a great help. Thanks so much!
Diane
