Hi, everybody -- as you may or may not know, I have been pretty sick the
last 3 weeks, and have gotten behind in all my list projects. Now,
today, the first day in weeks I could walk the picket line with my
husband Bob again -- my laptop computer has crashed. Fortunately, I had
backed up my mail files the day before.
However, I have lost (maybe forever, maybe for the weekend) at least one
day's mail. So if you wrote me and got no answer, write again. When I
can kick my husband off his own computer, I will be able to use it! And
maybe I can get back on track to finishing up our list webpages.
I have written a few people about my plan to create a website for each
of the lists I administer, and provide a place to post any pictures you
would like to. I have "up" all the pictures I have received so far --
unfortunately, the site (such as it is) is bookmarked on my laptop, and
not here! And my husband has already gone to bed, and I don't know how
to use the FTP program. Within the next day or so, however, I will write
everyone with the URLs, so you can see what we do (and will) have.
If you have family pictures you have been wanting to post somewhere on
the web, I will be able to do that for you. You can send the photos by
private email if you have a scanner, or send copies to me and we will
scan them, if you don't have access to a scanner. If this interests you,
please contact me off the list <mailto:valoriez@aa.net>. Think about
what you want the captions to say, and in what order you would like the
photos displayed.
If you have any favorite research websites you would like included in
the links page of our website, please drop me a note. Here on the list
is fine -- others would like to know, too. Also, any thoughts, ideas or
offers to help are welcome!
If you would like to see my husband's website, to see the quality we can
look forward to, please drop by

As always, my very best to each one of you precious list members,
Valorie
PS: Anyone happen to have a file called "Himem.sys" for the Toshiba
730cdt running Win95? That could be my life-saver.... -v
